All permanent Atlassian employees get five days of paid leave to volunteer each year, and we also offer a donation matching program.
As a company that's passionate about teamwork, it's no surprise that we do a lot of team volunteering. As distributed work and AI reshape how we collaborate, it's a great way for our people to connect while also contributing to their communities.

Atlassian volunteer helps families affected by birth trauma
Atlassian employees can spend five days every year volunteering for causes they care about. Software engineer Daniel Mastrorillo is using his time and talent to help families affected by birth trauma, by volunteering for the Australasian Birth Trauma Association (ABTA).
The CEO of ABTA, Amy Dawes, has described Daniel’s support as “phenomenal”.

Empowering girls to innovate through media and technology
Latinitas provides media and technology programs for girls throughout Central Texas.
Atlassian employees shared their expertise through Latinitas' StartUp Chicas conferences and mentorships. They discussed coding and explored engineer, designer and product manager roles with the girls through building features on an existing application.
