Humanitix is the not-for-profit ticketing platform that gives events impact. They make event management a delight, with direct booking fees donated towards education projects such as literacy programs for young girls.
Through the Atlassian Foundation’s funding and deep technical expertise, Josh, Adam and the team at Humanitix start a worldwide movement to give events impact and make every ticket count.
Example 1: Security
Problem: Humanitix had grown very fast, and they identified that one of their biggest risks was the security of their data and platform.
How Atlassian helped: Atlassian security experts performed two rounds of comprehensive penetration testing of the Humaninitix platform, and provide the team with a detailed report of the issues. In addition, Atlasssian employees facilitated a training session on corporate security.
Outcomes: Both the penetration testing and corporate security review highlighted several areas where Humanitix has been able to improve. It also provided Humanitix valuable lessons on security best practices.
Example 2: Accessibility
Problem: Humanitix has high aspirations, wanting to be the most accessible ticketing platform in the world. But there is a small problem – they are a small team with limited expertise in accessibility.
How we helped: Atlassian accessibility experts ran a series of sessions on accessibility tools, best practices and accessibility design.
Outcomes: From the sessions Humanitix were able to improve the accessibility of their site, processes and design decisions.
